One More Day

3rd Person Zombie Shooter • Survival Mode

You’re not trying to save the world. You’re trying to see tomorrow. Each day is a fight for food, ammo, shelter, and your life — and the days never stop.

Core fantasy

There’s no final win — only how long you survive. A horizontal “day timer” pushes urgency: find food before nightfall or die from exhaustion, even if every enemy is cleared.

The daily loop

Mandatory objectives

Clear required threats and always secure food — it’s non‑negotiable.

Optional objectives

Loot runs, side encounters, rescue/sabotage — risk for better gear and faster progression.

Nightfall spike

Visibility drops, threats intensify, and special events trigger. Hide, fight, or reach an escape zone.

Survive → advance day

Difficulty escalates endlessly: enemy count, AI, variety, scarcity, and night intensity.

Progression

Day progression design

A structured ramp that teaches, pressures, and then breaks you — fairly.

Day 1: Learning to survive — slow zombies, limited ammo, tension-first environment storytelling.
Day 2: Human threat introduced — raiders flank, take cover, steal loot; gunfire attracts zombies.
Day 3–5: Pressure builds — runners, armored infected, better raider weapons; first night horde event.
Day 6–10: Mid game — screamers, brutes, elite raiders, randomized food spawns, debuffs from spoiled food.
Day 11+: Late game — factions collide, ammo becomes rarer than food, hallucinations if you skip sleep.
Scaling: Enemy count, AI, variety, scarcity, and night intensity — optionally dynamic to player performance.

Signature systems

Systems that make each run memorable — tension, tradeoffs, and meaningful decisions.

Food urgency meter

A visible day timer that turns every detour into a decision. Miss food and you don’t “lose” — you collapse.

Injury & stamina

Limb damage affects movement/aim. Over-sprinting makes fights riskier and forces smarter pacing.

Environmental challenges

Rain/fog/sandstorms reduce visibility. Sound matters more and tension spikes naturally.

Random events

Radio ambushes, supply drops that attract hordes, rescue missions with betrayal chance.
